Crazy Optical Illusions That Are Freaking Out The Entire Internet

Whenever we look at a photograph, we tend to take it at face value; we trust what our eyes are seeing without question. Sometimes, upon further inspection, we realize what we’re observing isn’t quite what it seems.

One great way to challenge your mind’s eye is optical illusions. At first glance they may seem ordinary, but take a closer look and you soon realize that there is more going on the picture than it seems.

The internet is chock-full of optical illusion photos, and people love them because of how challenging it can be to solve them! Have a look at this collection of mind-bending images and try to figure them out for yourself…

Here’s the first photograph of a man taken at the Great Wall of China. He appears to be standing upright but at the time leaning against the ground, How is this possible?

This next picture of a girl who appears to have three legs recently resurfaced and had the internet up in arms. One internet user claimed it took them over two years to figure it out. Can you tell what’s really going on here?

Here’s another picture of six ladies sitting next to each other in a bar that seems completely normal at first. If you look carefully, however, you’ll notice that there are only five pairs of legs for six ladies. One pair is completely missing…

This picture had the internet completely befuddled. The most plausible explanation was that the girl who is sitting second from the left has her legs behind the first girl on the left.

The girl who appears to have no legs (in the middle of the couch) is sitting at a slight angle, which gives the illusion that her legs belong to the girl on her right

In October, a seemingly normal photo of three woman on a bench was passed around the internet and people were asking lots of questions. It appears that the park bench doesn’t have a seat, and the ladies look like they’re floating in the air.

The most common explanation for this optical illusion is that this particular bench has smaller fold-out seats that cannot be seen from this angle.

Here’s an odd photo that takes a keen eye to understand. At first it looks like a selfie of a woman in bed. Take a close look at her hand and you’ll notice something very strange: If you count the woman’s fingers, you’ll see that she has six of them on one hand. Her thumb (which you can’t see in the photo) and five additional fingers.

This is most likely the work of a crafty Photoshop user trying to stump readers.

Does your brain hurt yet? Once you see the reality behind the illusions, though, it’s easier to understand just how much our brains can be tricked.
